Our Mission

The mission of Faith Lutheran Church is to declare the gospel of Jesus Christ through witnessing and administering the word and sacraments and by providing a Christian environment to the members of this congregation and the people of Fort Valley.

A Welcome Message

Welcome to our spiritual home here at Faith Lutheran Church. We invite everyone who is looking for a welcoming place of worship to join our Christian family. Many of our members have been born and raised in Fort Valley and we are always excited to meet and greet new people who have moved into our community or are just passing through. We are proud of our Lutheran heritage that invites all children of God to come together to worship the Lord with joy and confidence in the grace that God provides to those who believe. Our communion table is open to all who are baptized and welcomes everyone who is searching for a closer relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The peace of the Lord be with you all, Pam Kitner Synod Authorized Minister

About Us

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church has been a spiritual home in Fort Valley since 1965, when St. David’s Lutheran and Mt. Zion Lutheran Churches united to form one congregation. In 1974, we began worshiping in our current building — a place where generations have gathered to pray, sing, learn, and serve. We are part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the Virginia Synod, continuing the Reformation heritage begun by Martin Luther. We hold fast to the central Lutheran convictions: Word & Sacrament: We gather weekly around Scripture, Baptism, and Holy Communion, trusting Christ’s promise of forgiveness and new life. Grace & Faith: Salvation is God’s gift — received through faith, not earned by works. Community & Service: We share Christ’s love through worship, fellowship, and outreach, including ministries like God’s Work. Our Hands. Welcome: Whether you are a lifelong Lutheran or visiting for the first time, you are invited to worship, learn, and serve with us. Our Minister, S.A.M. Pam Kitner, along with dedicated lay leaders, guides us in worship each Sunday at 10:00 AM, with Bible Study following the service. We are a family of faith where you can belong, grow, and serve — whether for a lifetime or even just a visit.

"Loving Father, I know that too often a lack of faith in Your promises of provision, have caused me to seek after the things of this world by myself. I confess this is a lack of faith in You. From now on, may I seek Your kingdom and righteousness first, knowing that You are my great Provider".

Matthew 6:30
